\n\tXbox<\/a> has set release windows for two of its most anticipated titles of 2026: Playground Games\u2019 \u201cFable<\/a>\u201d reboot and the Japan-set \u201cForza Horizon 6.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFable,\u201d now confirmed to be an open-world, action-RPG title, will debut in fall of 2026 with a specific launch date still to be announced. It should be noted what is expected to be the biggest game of 2026, \u201cGrand Theft Auto 6,\u201d is slated to hit Nov. 19, so Xbox is making a bold strategic decision to target that same window. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a surprise move, Xbox has announced the new \u201cFable\u201d will debut not just for its own console, but also for PlayStation and PC.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original \u201cFable\u201d video game trilogy was developed by the now-shuttered Lionhead Studios and released by Xbox between 2004-2010.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next \u201cFable\u201d is described by Xbox as \u201ca new beginning for the legendary franchise,\u201d with the synopsis reading: \u201cWhat does it mean to be a Hero? Well, in the fairytale land of Albion, that is entirely up to you. With a dark threat looming, and in a world where your reputation precedes you, your choices will change Albion forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tXbox announced the \u201cFable\u201d news during an Xbox Developer Direct presentation Thursday, when it also revealed that Playground Games\u2019 \u201cForza Horizon 6\u201d will release May 19. In \u201cForza Horizon 6,\u201d players will \u201cdiscover\u202fthe breathtaking landscapes of\u202fJapan\u202fand\u202fbecome a\u202fracing Legend\u202fat\u202fthe Horizon Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth \u201cFable\u201d and \u201cForza Horizon 6\u201d will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass, and offered as part of Xbox\u2019s Xbox Play Anywhere feature, which enables customers to buy a game once and then play it across Xbox consoles, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud gaming with cross saves-and cross-progression.<\/p>\n
