Chris Pratt<\/a><\/strong> gave his most recent update on his potential involvement in the DC Universe, addressing long-running fan speculation about whether he could take on the role of Batman. The actor spoke about his connection with DC Studios co-head James Gunn and clarified where things currently stand regarding any future casting.<\/p>\n

Why Chris Pratt definitely won\u2019t be Batman in DCU<\/p>\n

Chris Pratt confirmed during an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz that he will not be playing Batman in the DC Universe. \u201cI sent [James Gunn] a picture of myself with a Batman mask on. It was actually Photoshopped. He just said, \u2018Haha.\u2019 So, it\u2019s safe to say I\u2019m not going to be Batman,\u201d Pratt said. He added, \u201cI don\u2019t know how to do it anyway\u2026 It was never an option. And I don\u2019t think I would be right for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pratt elaborated that the many existing portrayals of Batman make the role creatively difficult. \u201cYou\u2019re always going to be compared against the people who have played the character before\u2026 It\u2019s a tough gig for anybody to get.\u201d He also joked, \u201cOh, I\u2019m Batman,\u201d in a Mickey Mouse-style voice, highlighting how hard it is to find a fresh take.<\/p>\n

Pratt tells the status of his DCU role<\/p>\n

Chris Pratt confirmed no current DCU role is planned for him. \u201cI always try to lead with mystery\u2026 but in all honesty, I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know what that character would be.\u201d He said he would like to work with James Gunn again, but no specific plans exist.<\/p>\n

Pratt acknowledged that while there are roles he could play, \u201cthere\u2019s nothing\u201d official. He did not hint at any ongoing discussions for a specific character, saying only that he\u2019d \u201clove to work with [Gunn] again.\u201d This follows speculation linking him to characters like Booster Gold, which remains unconfirmed.<\/p>\n

Chris Pratt ruled out Batman, citing a lack of fit and no discussions beyond a humorous exchange with Gunn. He clarified that no character in the DCU has been assigned to him and no active negotiations are underway. <\/p>\n
