\n Stephen Mooney was hit by a loose crane on the Clonbullogue to Edenderry road.\n <\/p>\n

An Offaly man who lost his life in a crash in the county yesterday is being remembered as a “kind, gent of a man who would do anything for anyone”.<\/p>\n

Stephen Mooney was killed on the Clonbullogue to Edenderry Road after the van he was driving was hit by a crane which came loose from a truck.<\/p>\n

The road has since been re-opened after a technical examination of the scene.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n

John McNamee is the Chairperson of Derry Rovers in Edenderry and a family friend, he says you could always rely on Stephen:<\/p>\n

\n\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Mr Mooney was a keen boxer in his youth.<\/p>\n
