A Coronation Street<\/a> actor has announced their departure following their role in the Megan Walsh grooming storyline.<\/p>\n

Sinister Megan (Beth Nixon) first appeared on the programme last year as the athletics coach of Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale). It was soon exposed that Megan had been grooming Will for months.<\/p>\n

Having secured a new teaching position at Weatherfield High, Megan has also begun a relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) – much to Will’s frustration and envy.<\/p>\n

Will and Megan’s clandestine relationship has remained undetected thus far, with Will’s family remaining oblivious to Megan’s real nature. However, this week Megan revealed she was expecting Will’s baby – leaving him thrilled.<\/p>\n

In Friday’s episode (23 January) though, it emerged that Will isn’t the first schoolboy to have been groomed by Megan. During the instalment, newcomer Lee (Oscar Aldersley) made his first appearance as Will’s friend and a runner who was previously coached by Megan, reports OK!<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Lee met up with fellow runner Will, Lee discreetly phoned Megan and left her a voicemail, expressing how much he misses her.<\/p>\n

Seeking a response, Lee subsequently followed Megan to the Rovers before they went to the ginnel for a private conversation. There, she acknowledged their history but informed him she’s now in a relationship with Daniel.<\/p>\n

However, before Lee exited the cobbles, he revealed to Will the details of his past relationship with Megan. He confessed: “I had a thing with her last year. I thought it was serious, but now I can see she was just using me,” before confirming they had been intimate.<\/p>\n

Actor Oscar has assumed the role of Lee, but it seems the character is only slated for a short stint. Last week, Oscar announced on his Instagram that he had wrapped up his time on the long-standing show.<\/p>\n

Alongside snapshots from his time on the show, Oscar commented: “Wow what an experience! Thank you Coronation Street<\/a> for this amazing opportunity. It’s been a pleasure working with such an incredible team for the past couple of months! I’ll hopefully see you all, back on the cobbles again soon!”.<\/p>\n

Oscar’s followers and Corrie colleagues filled the comments section with good wishes. Beth Nixon, who portrays Megan, wrote: “Ahh had so much fun working with you! Can’t wait to watch it on screen.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sydney Martin – who plays Betsy Swajn – also showed her support by liking the post. One follower commented: “Well done Oscar!” while another added: “Cannot wait so happy for you.”<\/p>\n
