Gardai<\/a> have launched an investigation after a woman sustained serious injuries in a brutal attack on the northside of Dublin city<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the early hours of Saturday morning, Gardai received reports of an assault at a property in the North Strand area of the capital.<\/p>\n

A woman aged in her 50s was rushed to hospital<\/a>, where she continues to receive treatment for her injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana told the Irish Mirror<\/a>: “Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of an assault at a domestic residence in the North Strand area, Dublin 3 today, 24th January 2026.<\/p>\n

“Gardai were alerted to the incident at approximately 3.45am.<\/p>\n

“A woman (50s) was taken to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

“A technical examination of the scene has been completed.<\/p>\n

“Investigations are ongoing.”<\/p>\n
