content creator<\/a>, known as Paul_IsItWorthIt, went to Murphy\u2019s Rock Bar after being inundated with recommendations to do so since declaring he was on the hunt for the best carvery in the country.<\/p>\nBefore going in, the Dubliner said, \u201cThis is meant to be, we put out the Batman sign, this could be the best carvery in Ireland. That\u2019s what we\u2019ve been told. Literally all the comments, everyone from Cork just says go here, nowhere else. Forget about the rest, just come to Murphy\u2019s Rock.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cI\u2019ve got huge expectations, and I looked up some of the reviews, and it says the portions are massive.\u201d Grabbing a seat inside, he reiterated that he had been told it was the best Cork had to offer, and, despite being aware from reviews that the portions were big, the reality took him by surprise.<\/p>\n

Looking at his ham roast dinner, he said: \u201cOh my God\u2026 this plate is stacked.\u201d After going through what was on his plate, he added, \u201cThat looks amazing. Huge. That\u2019s too big. That\u2019s too big a portion for me if I was to complain. Like too big a portion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trying to cut his meat, he said he almost needed a second plate to do so, before giving the food a taste. He commented on the \u201cthick slabs\u201d of ham before concluding: \u201cOh my God. Oh my God. You can taste the honey glaze off the ham. The ham is unbelievable. So moist. Spectacular ham.\u201d<\/p>\n
Paul added that he was disappointed that no turkey was available, but clarified that the carvery closed at 3pm, and he only arrived one hour beforehand. Despite the ham hitting the spot, the not-so-crispy roast potatoes failed to have the same impact, as he revealed during his review at the end, where he also disclosed the price.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI thought the ham was absolutely exceptional. Maybe one of the best hams I\u2019ve ever had. The honey on it was great, one of my favourites I\u2019ve ever had. The veg was kind of cold\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Paul and cameraman John then discussed their later arrival and acknowledged that the man serving the carvery had said it was one of the later times to get the meal. However, Paul said he could only judge the food he got, before continuing: \u201cThe mash was beautiful and creamy, but it was slightly lumpy. The roasties were terrible. The roasties were terrible.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow much did it cost? It was \u20ac19 for the carvery, which is absolutely on the expensive side.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt had really good things but then it had really average things as well. So what score would I give it? And the price was pretty expensive\u2026 I had some really high and really low points so I am going to go 7.7 out of 10.\u201d<\/p>\n
