{"id":306534,"date":"2026-01-27T17:41:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T17:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/306534\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T17:41:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T17:41:10","slug":"chinas-guangdong-province-exports-record-us140-billion-of-tech-high-value-goods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/306534\/","title":{"rendered":"China\u2019s Guangdong province exports record US$140 billion of tech, high-value goods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Exports of chip-manufacturing equipment, electric vehicles (EVs) and other high-value goods from China\u2019s southern Guangdong province rose to a record high last year of over 1 trillion yuan (US$140 billion), highlighting the country\u2019s progress in its quest for technological self-sufficiency in an ongoing tech war with the US.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The country\u2019s leading manufacturing hub exported semiconductor equipment worth more than 800 billion yuan in 2025, an increase of nearly 20 per cent from a year earlier, said Zhang Jinsong, head of Guangdong\u2019s Department of Commerce, at an event on Monday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Accelerating technological self-reliance is one of the province\u2019s main priorities this year.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Meanwhile, exports of EVs, lithium batteries and solar products from Guangdong also hit an all-time high, rising more than 30 per cent year on year to over 200 billion yuan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Huawei has been actively pursuing self-reliance in semiconductors among other areas since 2019.
