{"id":307816,"date":"2026-01-28T10:08:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T10:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/307816\/"},"modified":"2026-01-28T10:08:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T10:08:14","slug":"the-pride-gym-low-moor-in-running-for-bradford-ta-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/307816\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pride Gym, Low Moor, in running for Bradford T&#038;A award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The Pride Gym is one of 10 gyms who made the final of the T&amp;A\u2019s Best Gym 2026 competition.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Readers were invited to share their favourite place in the Bradford district for a workout.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Nominations were whittled down to 10 and, with voting now open, the T&amp;A is taking a closer look at each of the finalists.\n<\/p>\n<p>  &#8216;Focus on community, support and cleanliness&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>\n  One of the owners at the Pride Gym, Terry Holt, discovered a love for the gym and fitness after leaving the military.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cAs a regular gym goer I felt there was so much missing from gyms in the area,\u201d he told the T&amp;A.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cI wanted to bring a high quality space but with a focus on community, support and cleanliness.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe\u2019ve since grown so much and provide services to suit anyone from complete beginners to advanced, with no egos and everyone following the rules so that we can work against the stereotype of a gym for people.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Terry Holt at The Pride Gym (Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>  Mix of ages at the gym<\/p>\n<p>\n  The gym opened seven years ago in December 2018.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Terry said: \u201cWe\u2019re very well known about the speciality of equipment and investment made but for us the special feel comes from how we make people feel when they\u2019re a member and our friend.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cOur purpose is to help people live better, stronger, healthier and longer so everything we do is about them and making their experience 10\/10 every time.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe atmosphere is unmatched and to see a 60 plus year old lady coming in for a class chatting to a 25 year old bodybuilder for example isn\u2019t uncommon.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>The Pride Gym team, who have been part of the fitness community in Low Moor for many years. (Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe maintain strong rules on equality and standards and members adhere to these without fail meaning they make the experience for each other much better.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cBeing nominated is testament to both staff and members for their dedication and amazing approach to fitness and training.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The pride (mind the pun) is huge, not just for me as an owner of the gym but, as their colleague and friend, that their endless dedication to doing good for members is recognised.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Inside the Pride Gym, Low Moor (Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>  Community everything at this gym<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe know a lot of gyms love their community but ours really is second to none, from social group having nights out, breakfasts and brunches to fundraising, helping each other outside of the gym and welcoming new members they really are amazing.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe staff go a long way to know their names, even with a relatively high membership base we know the members, the gym has become not a chore but something to look forward to and a social occasion.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Don&#8217;t miss out on your chance to shout up for your favourite gym.
