Nicola Peltz struggled to call her husband’s parents by their names amid their toxic family feud. It has been claimed that Nicola, whilst doing an interview back in 2022, struggled to use Victoria and David Beckham’s names.<\/a><\/p>\n

Journalist Polly Barton sat down to talk about the actress’s marriage just six months after she tied the knot in 2022. Following Brooklyn’s statement and the feud subsequently blowing up,<\/a> Polly has lifted the lid on her chat with Nicola.<\/p>\n

She recalled: “I was struck by Nicola\u2019s borderline inability to speak either David or Victoria\u2019s names. The \u2018she, Victoria, uh\u2019 in the above quote, was as direct as it got, otherwise, it was just ‘Brooklyn\u2019s mom’ or ‘dad.'”<\/p>\n

In a new op-ed for Grazia,<\/a> Polly recalled the conversation she had with Nicola. She remembers Nicola saying: “The truth is that I was in a text chain with my mom, Victoria and Leslie, who\u2019s been my stylist for 10 years.<\/p>\n

“We all were on this tech chain together, and I was so excited to start the design process. Um, and then Victoria, um, was like\u2026 Oh! And this was in the middle of me filming Lola James!”<\/p>\n

She added: “So I was very busy. And then she, Victoria, uh, was very busy, and then we started this text chain, and a few days went by, and I didn\u2019t hear anything, then I think Victoria thought since I was on set, maybe she didn\u2019t want to upset me, so she called my mom and said that she couldn\u2019t make the dress. She said that her, um, atelier couldn\u2019t make the dress in time.”<\/p>\n

The dress was the subject of the fall out between Brooklyn and his parents. In his lengthy statement, he alleged: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.<\/p>\n

“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress. Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.”<\/p>\n

He also claimed that his mum Victoria “hijacked” his first dance and danced on him “inappropriately”.<\/p>\n

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he explained.<\/p>\n
