The rapper has inked a partnership deal with the independent music company Gamma for the release of Bully, his 12th studio album.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tYe began recording Bully more than three years ago, even going so far as to release an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kanye-west-new-album-bully-short-films-1235299342\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accompanying short film <\/a>edited by Hype Williams and starring his son, Saint West, in March 2025. The timeline for the version of the album arriving in March is unclear, but Rolling Stone has confirmed that\u00a0Bully\u00a0was completed before the publication of Ye\u2019s recent<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kanye-west-apologizes-antisemitc-bipolar-battle-1235504513\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> ad in the Wall Street Journal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn the ad, which took the form of a page-long open letter, Ye apologized for his\u00a0many years of <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kanye-west-antisemitism-hate-speech-controversy-1234611647\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kanye-west-antisemitism-hate-speech-controversy-1234611647\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">antisemitic<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/kanye-wests-legal-troubles-1235274309\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/kanye-wests-legal-troubles-1235274309\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">controversial comments<\/a>, grappled with his bipolar disorder diagnosis, addressed selling swastika merch, and reflected on letting the Black community down. (The letter did not directly address any of the legal claims he\u2019s currently facing, including a sexual harassment, assault, and wrongful termination lawsuit that was brought by his former assistant in 2024. Through a spokesperson, West previously denied the accusations.) \u201cI\u2019m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness,\u201d the letter read. \u201cI write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tA press release states that Bully will capture Ye in these moments as he wrestles with \u201cremorse, memory, ego, faith, and consequence.\u201d The release also claims that while the album is meant to be a documentation of his internal experience during this time, it does not double or function as an apology or redemptive effort. With Bully, Ye is said to be \u201cusing music as storytelling rather than defense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tHis previous solo full-length release,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/kanye-west-donda-2-producer-1291869\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Donda 2, <\/a>was released in 2022 via the audio remix device Stem Player, then in an edited form in 2025 via Ye\u2019s brand YZY.
