The exercise aimed to safeguard public health by ensuring practitioners of traditional and alternative medicine comply with licensing and professional standards under the Traditional Medicine Practice Act, 2000 (Act 575).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"1106\">Inspections revealed that Oduma Herbal Boutique employed an unregistered worker, while Ancient Herbal operated with an expired licence. Both facilities, however, were deemed compliant and allowed to reopen after immediately initiating the registration process and licence renewal, respectively.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1280\">The team also inspected Mallam Abdullah, That Day Herbal, and MH Organic Shop, all of which were found to be fully compliant with licensing and registration requirements.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gofollow\" data-track=\"MTAsMCw2MA==\" href=\"https:\/\/theaddress.devtracoplus.com\/?utm_source=citinewsroom&amp;utm_medium=placement&amp;utm_campaign=the\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-lazyloaded=\"1\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/728-by-90.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1550\">Addressing the media, Mr. Michael Lawson, Head of Compliance, Inspection and Enforcement, explained that Nana Boakye Herbal was closed because its operational licence had been expired for eight years and it employed two unregistered workers, in violation of Act 575.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1550\">\u201cEnforcement actions are not punitive, but intended to uphold standards and build public confidence in traditional and alternative medicine practice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1941\">Mr. Lawson urged all practitioners to ensure their facility licences are valid and that all staff are duly registered.
