While people talk about the GRAMMYs every year, other countries\u2019 awards typically treat metal in a significantly better manner. Take the JUNOs for example. Our friends in the Great White North know what makes a good metal song\/album and regularly nominate awesome Canadian acts to get the award. This year, the field is stacked and it\u2019s really anybody\u2019s award to win.<\/p>\n
Taking place on March 28 at the TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, the 2026 JUNO Awards will f\u00eate the best of the best. This year, the \u2018Metal\/Hard Music Album Of The Year\u2019 category features the following selections as this year\u2019s nominees:<\/p>\n
Metal\/Hard Music Album Of The Year:<\/strong> That\u2019s a damn good grouping of Canadian acts looking to earn this year\u2019s award. <\/p>\n Of particular note is Cryptopsy\u2019s nomination. If they win this year, they\u2019ll be one of the few metal acts to get the award twice. The other double winner is Anciients. So to land a second JUNO Award would be a pretty big feat. Who will win?
