Elliot Anderson and Djed Spence have received their first England call-ups, with Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a> among those conspicuous by their absence from Thomas Tuchel\u2019s squad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Euro 2024 runners-up host Andorra on September 6 before the Group K leaders head to Belgrade to face Serbia on September 9 as World Cup qualification continues.<\/p>\n

Tuchel has named a 24-man squad for the double-header, which sees Nottingham Forest<\/a> midfielder Anderson involved with the senior side for the first time.<\/p>\n

The midfielder starred in England\u2019s Under-21 Euros triumph over the summer, while uncapped Tottenham<\/a> full-back Spence also gets the nod.<\/p>\n

Adam Wharton is included in Tuchel\u2019s squad for the first time, but there is no place for Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Ivan Toney.<\/p>\n

Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire continue to be overlooked by the England boss, while injury has ruled out Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill.<\/p>\n

Fit-again John Stones is included for the first time since Tuchel took charge, although he spent time with the group in Spain during the June camp as he continued his rehabilitation from a thigh injury.<\/p>\n

Tuchel said Alexander-Arnold and Grealish remain in his thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, we decided on a bit more competitive squad,\u201d Tuchel said. \u201cThere is no doubt that I\u2019m a big fan of Trent and Jack because of their talent and their personalities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are big players. They will always be big players, and they will always be in the mix to be called up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that both of them are desperate to come back, which is really important.<\/p>\n

\"Trent<\/p>\n

\u201cSo competition is up, then they will stay in the mix. I know how desperate they are to come back but they can maybe have a bit more rhythm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tuchel admitted that Walker had fallen behind Reece James in the pecking order.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a big fan of Kyle. I tried to sign him several times in my career, and I know what he can bring to any team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe decided for a new challenge in Burnley<\/a>, so it\u2019s a key player and I admire him for this, for his courage to do a step like this, to stay in the strongest league and to go for a completely new challenge in his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think his (Reece) position is slightly ahead at the moment with how he ended the season and how he played for us in the camps, won the Club World Cup a key player for Chelsea<\/a> at the moment, and he has been excellent for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Midfielders:<\/strong> Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jordan Henderson<\/a>, Declan Rice, Morgan Rogers, Adam Wharton<\/p>\n

Forwards:<\/strong> Jarrod Bowen, Eberechi Eze, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford, now on loan at Barcelona<\/a>, returns having missed June\u2019s fixtures through injury but the main talking point is the likes of uncapped Anderson.<\/p>\n

Tuchel told the Football Association: \u201cElliot Anderson, very physical, a lot of volume, very precise clean passing, it is a good package.<\/p>\n

\u201cTino Livramento is also with us based on these observations because they had a fantastic tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cElliot was a key player in the tournament, pressed a lot in central midfield, (he\u2019s) a regular player for Nottingham Forest<\/a>, they had a fantastic season and ended the season with a title for the Under-21s.<\/p>\n
