There\u2019s a new snowman in town, or rather, a snow bison.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma resident Rex Henck spent hours with his family transforming melting snow into a \u201cRumble the Bison\u201d masterpiece, showcasing a talent he\u2019s honed over 36 years.<\/p>\n<p>Henck\u2019s snow sculptures have become a local tradition, with past creations including George Washington, Snoopy, Nemo, and even the viral Bernie Sanders mittens meme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew it was going to be cold, so I thought anything to make things go by faster,\u201d Henck said, explaining his meticulous 10-hour prep process involving wire frames and custom wood stamps.<\/p>\n<p>The sculptor credits his skills to his high school job at a body shop and his upbringing in snowy Upstate New York. \u201cBasically, I\u2019m doing body work on a snow sculpture,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the attention his creations garner, Henck remains humble. \u201cI think it\u2019s alright,\u201d he said of his latest work. For him, the real reward is the memories made with family.<\/p>\n<p>The Rumble the Bison sculpture can be viewed near Northwest 150th and Santa Fe in Edmond, weather permitting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Edmond, Oklahoma &#8211; Move over, Frosty.
