Coronation Street newcomer Jodie Ramsey<\/a> continues to hide her true past from her family next week, before going on a mysterious errand to pick up a secret item. But are we any closer to finding out why she’s behaving so strangely?<\/p>\n

As Shona Platt digs into her younger sister’s past, she gets the number for their dad’s old mate Bernard. However, Jodie overhears and phones Bernard herself before Shona can.<\/p>\n

“There’s something in Jodie’s past that she doesn’t want her sister knowing,” teases our Corrie source. “She asks Bernard for a secret favour, but fans will have to wait to find out exactly what Jodie is up to\u2026”<\/p>\n

Later, Tim Metcalfe turns up at No.8 to tell David and Shona that his taxi meter is running outside, prompting Jodie to admit that the cab is for her \u2013 before rushing out of the house without an explanation.<\/p>\n

Sarah then calls round to tell her overworked brother David that he deserves a break, so she’s taking him out for lunch as a special treat.<\/p>\n

With the house empty, Jodie returns from her secret errand. After checking that no-one is around to witness her, she pulls something out of her bag\u2026<\/p>\n

“Whatever Jodie has brought back to the Platt home will be revealed on screen, but we’re sure it means trouble,” our spy adds. “After manipulating Lily<\/a> and lying about her past, who knows what Jodie is truly capable of?<\/p>\n

“She certainly isn’t acting like the loving little sister that Shona once abandoned \u2013 and seems to be hellbent on taking revenge.”<\/p>\n

But what has Shona’s suspicious sister gone to collect, and is it connected to Bernard?<\/p>\n

Coronation Street’s producer Kate Brooks previously spoke to us<\/a> about Jodie’s dark past, amid the unresolved questions over how she ended up in the back of Graham Foster’s van in the recent Corriedale crossover special<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brooks said: “Jodie comes in as sort of a lifesaver and makes herself invaluable to that family unit. But she may have ulterior motives!<\/p>\n

“We’ll find out exactly why she was in that van. We’ll find out what her link to Graham is. From my time when I worked at Emmerdale, Graham was a character with a murky past who was capable of many things. For Jodie to be embroiled with somebody of that ilk sheds a light on what kind of character she is and what to expect.”<\/p>\n

She added: “We will absolutely reveal what went on between them and what Graham’s role was in it all. Keep a lookout for it, because it’s a story that goes on to be really big as we get into spring and summer. There’s a lot of drama for the Platts coming up!”<\/p>\n
