Reacher star Alan Ritchson<\/strong><\/a> has once again opened up about the possibility of playing Batman<\/a><\/strong> in the DC Universe<\/a>. Ritchson is no stranger to the DC franchise, having previously appeared in shows like Smallville and Titans, where he played the respective roles of Arthur Curry\/Aquaman and Hank Hall\/Hawk.<\/p>\n

What was Alan Ritchson\u2019s Batman update?<\/p>\n

Recently, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn<\/a> revealed that he\u2019s actually a \u201cbig Alan Ritchson fan\u201d after fans kept on casting him as the DCU\u2019s Bruce Wayne\/Batman. Speaking with Variety, Ritchson shared his reaction to Gunn\u2019s comments, confirming that he already had talks about Batman with the Superman director.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it\u2019s not rumor that James Gunn is a fan. He said it himself. And am I a fan of James Gunn? Absolutely. I don\u2019t want to mislead people. Words have been exchanged about Batman,\u201d Ritchson said.<\/p>\n

However, the Reacher actor admitted that he doesn\u2019t really see himself playing the Dark Knight in the future. Despite this, he believes that he will work again someday with DC, teasing his interest in a different character. <\/p>\n

Ritchson added: \u201cBut I strongly don\u2019t think that Batman is in my future. I do think there is something in my future with DC. And I would like that to remain true.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Brave and the Bold<\/a> will be directed by The Flash director Andy Muschietti. The movie is part of the DC Universe\u2019s Chapter One: Gods & Monsters. The story will center around Bruce Wayne and Damian Wayne, who is known as the Dark Knight\u2019s son with DC villain Talia al Ghul. Damian Wayne is one of the DC characters who takes on the mantle of Robin. Besides Ritchson, It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar<\/a> is also currently being rumored for the role of Batman.<\/p>\n

At the moment, it has no official release date yet.<\/p>\n
