India will hold the summit later this year.<br \/>The move is significant in view of the BRICS declaration at the 2025 summit on interoperability among members&#8217; payment systems to make cross-border transactions easier.<\/p>\n<p>The <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/reserve-bank-of-india\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Reserve Bank of India<\/a> is keen to push cross-border transactions in CBDCs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ET logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1756640479_840_118783427.cms.png\" width=\"90%\"\/>Live Events<br \/>Full-fledged digital currencies are yet to be launched. Interoperability of CBDCs will also require aligning technology and addressing security concerns.<br \/>New Delhi had showcased the strength of its digital payments system such as the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/unified-payment-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Unified Payment Interface<\/a> and Bharat Bill Payment System for cross-border transactions as also its CBDC during its G20 presidency two years ago.
