{"id":31986,"date":"2025-08-30T01:47:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-30T01:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/31986\/"},"modified":"2025-08-30T01:47:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T01:47:09","slug":"body-recovered-by-fishing-trawler-off-coast-post-mortem-to-take-place-at-cuh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/31986\/","title":{"rendered":"Body recovered by fishing trawler off coast; post-mortem to take place at CUH\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\"> Garda\u00ed have confirmed that a body was found at sea off the coast of Waterford yesterday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> In a statement the Garda Press Office said that the body was detected by fishermen shortly after 9am yesterday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThe deceased individual was recovered by a fishing trawler approximately twenty miles off the coast of Waterford and brought ashore at Ballycotton, Co Cork.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;The Coroner has been notified, and the body has been transferred to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The results of the examination will determine the course of the Garda investigation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It is understood that the deceased individual has yet to be identified with efforts underway to determine the name of the person.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Garda\u00ed have confirmed that a body was found at sea off the coast of Waterford yesterday morning.
