Metallica <\/strong>just turned a small Hamptons stage into a night fans won\u2019t soon forget.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, August 28, the legendary rock band performed an exclusive show in Amagansett, New York, celebrating the launch of SiriusXM\u2019s brand-new year-round channel, Maximum Metallica.<\/p>\n

The band traded their usual stadium roar for a cozy club setting, yet the setlist was as iconic as ever. Metallica ripped through fan favorites including \u201cMaster of Puppets\u201d and \u201cEnter Sandman,\u201d but the standout moment came when the group surprised the crowd by honoring the late Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> with a fiery rendition of his classic anthem, \u201cCrazy Train.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metallica previously honored the late rocker by sharing a tribute on Instagram<\/a> the same day as Osbourne\u2019s death. The band shared a throwback photo with Osbourne with a simple red heart emoji as the caption.<\/p>\n

The star-studded audience on Thursday included a slew of famous faces: Howard<\/strong> and Beth Stern<\/strong>, Paul<\/strong> and Nancy McCartney<\/strong><\/a>, Andy Cohen<\/strong>, Colin Jost<\/strong>, Heidi Gardner<\/strong>, Michael J. Fox<\/strong>, Ed Burns<\/strong>, Chris Jericho<\/strong>, Maria Menounos,<\/strong>Sylvester Stallone<\/strong>, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith<\/strong> were all spotted in the crowd. Metallica has been filling arenas worldwide on their massive M72 World Tour, but the Hamptons show marked one of the most intimate venues the band has played in decades.<\/p>\n

SiriusXM subscribers will get the chance to experience it too. The band\u2019s exclusive Stephen Talkhouse performance will premiere on Maximum Metallica on Monday, September 1, at 12 p.m. ET. In addition, Howard Stern\u2019s SiriusXM channel, Howard 101, will air the entire concert on Friday, September 5, at 7 p.m. ET\/PT.<\/p>\n

Osbourne sadly died at the age of 76<\/a> on July 22, 2025. The Black Sabbath frontman\u2019s family\u2014wife Sharon Osbourne<\/strong>, and children Jack<\/strong>, Kelly<\/strong>, Aimee<\/strong>, and Louis<\/strong>\u2014released a statement announcing the news, which read, \u201cIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since his death, Ozzy has been remembered by multiple musicians and received tons of tributes. Most recently, Yungblud (real name Dominic Harrison<\/strong>) performed a cover<\/a> of Ozzy\u2019s \u201cChanges,\u201d at one of his shows, with Jack\u00a0 watching from the audience. The TV personality posted about the night on Instagram, thanking Yungblug for \u201ckeeping the legacy alive.\u201d<\/p>\n
