Fall television is just around the corner. While we originally had high hopes of Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler\u2019s (Cole Hauser) Yellowstone spinoff, given the show was originally expected for November 2025<\/a>, it\u2019s since been revealed that the series won\u2019t arrive on our screens until sometime in 2026. Still, we can\u2019t help but look forward to the return of some of our favorite Yellowstone characters. And thankfully, we\u2019re glad to say we have an update from the franchise while we wait.<\/p>\n

According to People<\/a>, in addition to Finn Little reprising his role as Beth and Rip\u2019s adopted son, Carter, Annette Bening (American Beauty, Being Julia, The Grifters, The Kids Are All Right, and, more recently, Apples Never Fall) is joining the cast. She will play Beulah Jackson, a “powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”<\/p>\n

Beyond those two characters and the potential for other Yellowstone character cameos, all we know about the spinoff is the show\u2019s logline and that Kelly, Cole, and Taylor Sheridan are executive producing the series, while Chad Feehan is slated as showrunner. The show has been operating under the working title The Dutton Ranch, but the official name has not been announced. (Cole Hauser went on record<\/a> saying it will not be called The Dutton Ranch, and a studio representative said another rumored name, Rio Palo, is not correct.)<\/p>\n

“Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch,” the logline reads. “With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”<\/p>\n

Now, one of many questions is, how will the timing of the show sync up with the rest of the Yellowstone universe? The Madison (a modern-day Yellowstone sequel) and Y: Marshals (Kayce Dutton\u2019s spin-off starring Luke Grimes) are both set for 2026, and 1944 and 6666 are rumored to still be in the works, albeit on hold. Suffice to say, whenever these shows do land on our screens, we\u2019ll have plenty to watch.<\/p>\n
