{"id":323407,"date":"2026-02-06T12:27:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T12:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/323407\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T12:27:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T12:27:07","slug":"educated-woman-with-potential-charged-with-money-laundering-at-limerick-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/323407\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Educated&#8217; woman &#8216;with potential&#8217; charged with money laundering at Limerick court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 43-YEAR-OLD \u201ceducated\u201d woman has appeared in court charged in connection with the alleged \u2018laundering\u2019 of over \u20ac1,000.<\/p>\n<p>Fidelma Hickey, who has an address at Thomondhouse in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick city<\/a>, lost her job in 2024 due to her problems with addiction, Limerick District Court heard.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Patricia Harney said that \u201cthings appear to be going well\u201d for Ms Hickey, but she noted that her addiction remains to be a problem for her.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/motoring\/2006582\/limerick-motorist-caught-travelling-at-173kph-in-residential-area.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick motorist caught travelling at 173kph in residential area<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon reviewing a Probation Report, the judge commented that Ms Hickey has \u201ca good structure around her\u201d.
