Nineties pop icon Lee Brennan has surprised fans by announcing a major career move.<\/p>\n

The former singer, who fronted chart sensations 911, has revealed after a period of intensive studying, he is now a ‘certified Transformative Life Coach’.<\/p>\n

Lee, 51, posted a selfie on Instagram and proudly clutched his certificate as he showed off his achievement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He captioned the post: \u2018Lots of late nights studying and lots of tea and coffee. I\u2019ve always been obsessed with our minds, thoughts, feelings and wanting to understand my own crazy brain more.<\/p>\n

The announcement has delighted fans and friends including former S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara and Hollyoaks alum Steph Waring, who has also retrained as a life coach. \u2018Welcome to the club,\u2019 she commented.<\/p>\n

Lee shot to fame in 1995 when he teamed up with Jimmy Constable and Spike Dawbarn to form 911.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Within months they were touring the world and selling millions of records. Their run of ten consecutive UK Top 10 singles included Bodyshakin\u2019, Private Number and a 1999 number one, a cover of A Little Bit More.<\/p>\n

By the turn of the millennium they had sold over 10 million singles and become one of Britain\u2019s most successful homegrown boy bands.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the trio called it quits in February 2000, saying they wanted to bow out on a high.<\/p>\n

Lee, who had twice beaten Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma as a child and was left infertile by treatment, later admitted he struggled with life after the screaming crowds disappeared.<\/p>\n

He turned his hand to acting, appearing in pantomimes including Peter Pan and Cinderella, and even dabbled in radio.<\/p>\n

In 2006 he married Lindsay Armaou of fellow pop favourites B*Witched, but the marriage ended in divorce five years later.<\/p>\n

Lee is not the only Nineties star to take a surprising turn. Hannah Spearritt from S Club 7 traded her pop career for farming in Costa Rica, while Steph Waring, who was axed from<\/p>\n

Hollyoaks last year after nearly three decades, is also offering guidance as a life coach.<\/p>\n
