\n\t\u201cBosch: Start of Watch<\/a>\u201d is starting to build out its main cast, with Ariana Guerra joining the series. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cBosch\u201d prequel, which was picked up to series at MGM+ in October 2025<\/a>, will star Cameron Monaghan as a young Harry Bosch in his rookie days in the LAPD, while Omari Hardwick will play veteran officer Eli Bridges. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBosch: Start of Watch\u201d will take place in 1991 Los Angeles. The official logline states, \u201cThe series will explore a city on the edge, teeming with racial tension, gang violence, and a fractured LAPD. Amid routine calls and growing unrest, Bosch finds himself drawn into a high-profile heist and a web of criminal corruption that will test his loyalty to the badge and shape his future as the detective who lives by the code, \u2018Everybody counts or nobody counts.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGuerra will star as Rosa, who is described as \u201ca rookie LAPD officer and native Angeleno who brings uncommon maturity and street smarts to the job. Raised in the neighborhoods she patrols, she represents a new generation of cops in a post-Rodney King city. Beneath her confidence is a deep insecurity \u2013 shaped by a young pregnancy, a failed first career, and the pressure of providing for her child. During her probationary year, a budding romance with Bosch threatens her credibility, forcing Rosa to prove she can finish what she starts.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGuerra has previously starred in shows like \u201cCSI: Vegas\u201d at CBS, \u201cHelstrom\u201d at Hulu, and \u201cPromised Land\u201d at ABC. Her other TV credits include \u201cRaising Dion,\u201d \u201c9-1-1,\u201d and \u201cTracker.\u201d Next up, she will be seen in the Netflix crime drama series \u201cNemesis.\u201d Guerra has also been seen in films like \u201cMadres\u201d and \u201cFive Feet Apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe is repped by Pakula King, Gartner Group Entertainment, and Goodman Genow. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBosch: Start of Watch\u201d is based on Michael Connelly\u2019s Det. Harry Bosch books, which spawned the original series. Production will begin in Los Angeles later this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tTom Bernardo (\u201cBosch,\u201d \u201cBosch: Legacy\u201d) and Brian Anthony (\u201cBosch: Legacy,\u201d \u201cFBI\u201d) are the co-creators and executive producers on the series, with Bernardo also serving as showrunner. Connelly, Henrik Bastin, Jamie Boscardin Martin, and Jasmine Russ also serve as executive producers. Theresa Snider serves as co-executive producer for Hieronymus Pictures. Seth Yanklewitz is in charge of casting. Fabel Entertainment produces.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is now the fourth series in the \u201cBosch\u201d universe. In addition to the original Amazon Prime Video series, which ran for seven seasons, lead actor Titus Welliver led the spinoff \u201cBosch: Legacy\u201d for three seasons.
