Photograph: Sam Boal\/Collins Photos  <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dart\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dart\/\">Dart<\/a> out to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/howth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/howth\/\">Howth<\/a>, making sure to sit on the sea side of the train carriage to take in the coastal views. If weather allows, embark on the Howth cliff walk, soak in the sea views and work up an appetite. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Whether you brave the elements or not, views are almost guaranteed at Octopussy, the walk-ins only Spanish tapas restaurant nestled on Howth\u2019s west pier. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Indulge in seafood chowder, oysters, scallops, sherry monkfish and, if you fancy a splurge, lobster cooked in the shell with garlic butter.<\/p>\n<p><b>Relics of St Valentine and a bite at Bar Pez<\/b><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Bar Pez on College Court, Kevin Street Lower.
