<\/p>\nA new shop is proving a real treat for Derry pets.<\/p>\n
\u2018The DogHouse of Eglinton’, which opened this month has been a hit with the customers in the local area. Lifelong animal lovers Tracy Craig and David Andrew (both Eglinton residents) decided to open the shop due to it\u2019s convenient location for surrounding pet owners.<\/p>\n
Tracy, who has been living in the County Derry village for over twenty years, previously worked in the NHS. After thinking it was time for a career change she left her job and set up the shop.<\/p>\n
Tracy spoke about how it all came about saying: \u201cDavid and I are both animal lovers and dogs have always been part of our families. We currently have two rescue dogs, \u201cMartha & Flo\u201d and they are adorable\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thought Eglinton was missing a pet shop where locals can buy food and accessories. So after a lot of product research and support from suppliers, we knew it was for us!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe listen to our customers and source the products they require, consequently we are adding many new items every week!\u201d<\/p>\n
The shop owner loves her job, especially fussing over all the visiting dogs & puppies and of course meeting their owners.<\/p>\n
Customers have commented that the design\/layout of the shop provides a really friendly, welcoming and comfortable environment.<\/p>\n
The DogHouse of Eglinton offers a wide range of wet and dry foods, treats, toys, harnesses, collars, leads, coats & beds. Additionally, there over 20 different \u201cNatural\u201d treats available plus frozen \u201craw\u201d foods, marrow bones and liver cake.<\/p>\n
The huge selection of grooming products, medications and pet first aid kits have been a success since opening.<\/p>\n
The veterinary scales have also proved a hit amongst customers. But it\u2019s not just for dogs, there is also a range of cat foods, toys, collars & accessories available. Plus small animal feed, caged & wild bird feed and bird feeders.<\/p>\n
