{"id":342902,"date":"2026-02-18T04:03:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T04:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/342902\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T04:03:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T04:03:07","slug":"pulp-and-underworld-among-60-new-acts-in-line-up-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/342902\/","title":{"rendered":"Pulp and Underworld among 60 new acts in line-up \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Britpop band Pulp are set to headline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/all-together-now-festival\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/all-together-now-festival\/\">All Together Now<\/a>, joining more than sixty new acts announced for the festival in Curraghmore Estate, Co <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/waterford\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/waterford\/\">Waterford<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Having released their first album in 24 years last summer, the group\u2019s Friday night set on July 30th marks their first headline festival in 15 years. Formed in Sheffield in 1978, the group\u2019s hits include Common People and Babies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">They are among 60 new acts revealed to be on the line-up over the bank holiday weekend of July 30th to August 2nd. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Electronic duo Disclosure and fellow British electronic group Underworld will also be performing in Waterford, as will The Mary Wallopers and Christy Moore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The first phase of tickets was released last August, and phase four of tickets will go live this Thursday at 9am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Irish rap trio Kneecap were announced as a headline act last December \u2013 their sole Irish festival of the year. It will follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2026\/01\/28\/kneecap-announce-new-album-fenian\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2026\/01\/28\/kneecap-announce-new-album-fenian\/\">release of their new album, Fenian<\/a>, due out on April 24th. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">According to the band\u2019s statement, the album was \u201cinspired by, and proudly named \u2018Fenian\u2019, who were warriors in Irish folklore, and later a derogatory term for the Irish\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-it-article-body__interstitial-link\">[\u00a0<a aria-label=\"Open related story\" class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/12\/09\/all-together-now-2026-kneecap-announced-as-headline-act-for-co-waterford-festival\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All Together Now 2026: Kneecap announced as headline actOpens in new window<\/a>\u00a0]<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">As All Together Now enters its seventh year, organisers said the line-up\u2019s \u201cstrong Irish contingent\u201d showcases home-grown talents from across the island.
