Actress Anushka Shetty is set to make her Malayalam debut with the upcoming fantasy thriller, \u201cKathanar: The Wild Sorcerer\u201d. Directed by Rojin Thomas, this movie features Jayasurya as the lead hero. On the occasion of Jayasurya\u2019s birthday, the makers unveiled the first look poster of this film today.<\/p>\n
In the poster, Jayasurya portrays a rugged look, long hair and a long beard. He will be playing the role of popular mythical character Kadamattathu Kathanar, who is believed to be a sorcerer in the ninth century. Hinting at his character, the poster features the tagline, \u201cThe one who steals your time, your mind, your reality.\u201dAfter witnessing Jayasurya\u2019s poster, fans are now excited to see Anushka\u2019s first look from the film and are wondering if she will also portray a rustic and rugged avatar in the movie.<\/p>\n
Anushka is already seen in a rural rustic avatar in her upcoming film Ghaati. Now, it is being speculated whether she will play yet another such role from a different timeline in this movie. Jayasurya\u2019s first look further raised anticipation around Anushka\u2019s character, and it remains to be seen when the makers will unveil her poster.<\/p>\n
Bankrolled by Gokulam Gopalan, Kathanar is slated for a worldwide release later this year. Rahul Subrahmanian is composing the music for it.<\/p>\n
