<\/p>\nIn a move that should have been done from the very start, Atome\u2019s Singapore app has now enabled payments with partnered merchants in Malaysia<\/b>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This means the 1.5 million Atome Singapore users can shop at 15,000+ retail outlets<\/b> and malls across Malaysia, and, in the same way, scan the cashier’s or counter\u2019s Atome QR code to pay.<\/p>\n
While the bill and the input screen appear in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), the final outlay is also shown in Singapore Dollars (SGD)<\/b>. The Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) vendor claims its automatic conversion is at \u201ca competitive rate\u201d.<\/p>\n

Steps to paying with Atome in Malaysia is just like how one does in Singapore, except that you will see two currencies instead of one.<\/p>\n

Also, these cross-border transactions are compatible with Atome\u2019s built-in loyalty programme, A+ Rewards Points. The app also supports full upfront payments<\/b>, so you can treat it as an alternative payment option <\/b>without spreading the bill over several months.<\/p>\n
Prior to this update, the Singapore app was restricted to Singapore merchants.<\/p>\n
