Manchester United<\/strong><\/a> are said to be pushing to sign the World Cup winner<\/a><\/strong> before Monday’s transfer deadline.<\/p>\n

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, personal terms have already been agreed with Martinez, who is desperate to make the move to the 20-time English champions before the transfer window closes.<\/p>\n

However, Man United are also still in discussions with Royal Antwerp<\/strong><\/a> over a move for Senne Lammens<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports News are reporting that both Lammens and Martinez want to make the move to Man United, but in a stunning turn of events, Villa are also thought to be considering the Antwerp goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

Martinez, 32, has also been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, but it is understood that he is not ready to leave European football behind, especially in a World Cup year.<\/p>\n

Martinez would cost more, with Villa thought to want \u00a340m for his services. Meanwhile, a deal for Lammens is likely to be around \u00a320m.<\/p>\n

Both Andre Onana<\/strong><\/a> and Altay Bayindir<\/strong><\/a> have struggled in the early stages of the 2025-26 campaign, with the latter finding it difficult in the Premier League, while the former had a difficult night against Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup.<\/p>\n

Man United have still not ruled out signing a new midfielder before the transfer window closes, but the 20-time English champions are currently focusing on a move for a goalkeeper.<\/p>\n
