The company had said on Jan. 16 that it planned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/artificial-intelligence\/2026\/openai-brings-subscription-tier-ads-united-states\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">introduce ads<\/a> to the ChatGPT experience.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.target.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Target<\/a> said on Feb. 9 that it would be among the first companies to work with OpenAI on the test. The company said its participation in the pilot would help it better understand how <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.adobe.com\/en\/publish\/2026\/02\/09\/adobe-partners-openai-test-ads-chatgpt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ads<\/a> can provide relevant experiences while also maintaining users\u2019 trust in ChatGPT responses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs conversational AI continues to redefine how people discover and engage with brands, we remain committed to helping marketers navigate this shift effectively and orchestrate exceptional, personalized experiences across every touchpoint at global scale,\u201d Adobe said in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.williams-sonomainc.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Williams-Sonoma<\/a> said Feb. 11 that it became an early participant in OpenAI\u2019s Ad Pilot Program. The home furnishings retailer said it aimed to explore how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260211993758\/en\/WILLIAMS-SONOMA-INC.-PARTNERS-WITH-OPENAI-TO-TEST-ADS-IN-CHATGPT\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">advertising<\/a> in ChatGPT can reach customers as they are making decisions and show them relevant products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy collaborating with OpenAI in this early test, we have the opportunity to help develop a new advertising approach \u2014 one designed to engage consumers thoughtfully, contextually and in a manner that aligns with how users expect to interact with information on their platform,\u201d Williams-Sonoma President and CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.williams-sonomainc.com\/investor-information\/governance\/board-of-directors\/person-details\/default.aspx?ItemId=ebbc948f-8aa5-4994-bff5-9c004aaab4d0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Laura Alber<\/a> said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.albertsonscompanies.com\/home\/default.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Albertsons Companies<\/a> announced Feb. 12 that it is participating in the OpenAI Ad Pilot Program to test <a href=\"https:\/\/www.albertsonscompanies.com\/newsroom\/press-releases\/news-details\/2026\/Albertsons-Companies-Announces-Participation-in-OpenAI-Advertising-Pilot-Program\/default.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ad experiences<\/a> that are relevant, timely and personalized. The grocer said its first ads in this new format would be focused on Valentine\u2019s Day and would appear alongside answers to search terms such as \u201cbest flowers for Valentine\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re focused on advertising that enhances the customer journey, instead of interrupting it,\u201d Albertsons Cos.
