Chris Hemsworth <\/strong>has revealed why he decided to leave LA and move back to his home country, Australia. The 42-year-old actor described his decision to move away from Hollywood\u2019s glamorous life in LA as the \u201cgreatest decision\u201d he\u2019s made, after admitting that he did not enjoy his time there.<\/p>\n

Chris Hemsworth opens up about leaving LA for Australia<\/p>\n

Chris Hemsworth<\/a> confesses that moving out of LA was the \u201cgreatest decision\u201d he has made. The \u201cAvengers\u201d star shared that coming home to \u201cpaparazzi and all the sort of trappings\u201d of the city emboldened his decision to relocate his family to a large farm in Australia.<\/p>\n

During an episode of SmartLess,<\/a> Hemsworth shared, \u201cIt was right around the time my boys were born, and it was just, we kind of were set up in LA and not enjoying it, you know? Like nothing was shooting there. We were filming kind of everywhere else.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cAnd then \u2026 you\u2019d come home and paparazzi and all the sort of trappings of, you know, living in that space.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cThor\u201d star and his actress wife, Elsa Pataky, relocated to a sprawling farm in Australia. Hemsworth further explained, \u201cYou know, when you come back from work, you wanna go on a holiday? Like coming home for me is \u2013 it feels like a holiday. We have a big farm, horses, motorbikes and surf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hemsworth also spoke to PEOPLE<\/a> at the world premiere of his new movie \u201cCrime 101\u201d in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 10. He revealed what his children think of his illustrious Hollywood career. The star quipped, \u201cThey don\u2019t care. They don\u2019t care at all.\u201d Hemsworth added that his children were enamored by his role as Thor, but changed their opinion once they realized that he couldn\u2019t fly.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old star shared, \u201cI reckon when they first realized I was Thor, they thought it was really cool. And then they realized they couldn\u2019t fly, and they thought it was less cool.\u201d<\/p>\n
