\n\tOn Sunday (Aug. 31), the girl group sent fans into a frenzy after posting on X for the first time in seven years. Fifth Harmony \u2014 now consisting of Ally Brooke<\/a>, Normani<\/a>, Lauren Jauregui<\/a> and Dinah Jane<\/a> following Camila Cabello<\/a>\u2019s 2016 departure \u2014 surprised their 4.2 million followers with a cryptic message.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree,\u201d they wrote<\/a>, marking their first post since wishing Brooke a happy birthday in July 2018.<\/p>\n

\n\tNaturally, the mysterious update reignited excitement among the group\u2019s devoted Harmonizers. \u201cAre they hacked again or is this fr?\u201d one fan wondered. Another wrote, \u201cI don\u2019t understand what\u2019s happening\u2026 but I think I like it.\u201d A third asked excitedly, \u201cWAITTTT ARE Y\u2019ALL REUNITING LIKE FR? IT WASNT JUST A RUMOR?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe speculation comes nearly a year after Brooke and Jane teased a possible reunion<\/a> while walking the red carpet at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ll see\u2026 we\u2019re not sure,\u201d Brooke said when asked about getting the group back together. Jane added, \u201cI love that our fans can reminisce on such good times and I love that we\u2019re getting the credit again. Our music was very impactful at the time and I feel like it was kind of overlooked, to be honest. So now that it\u2019s reviving again on its own it just shows our music speaks for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFifth Harmony first formed on the second season of the U.S. version of The X Factor in 2012. They rose to fame with their debut album, Reflection, in January 2015, which featured \u201cWorth It,\u201d their first top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The quintet reached even greater success with \u201cWork From Home\u201d featuring Ty Dolla $ign \u2014 the lead single from their sophomore album, 7\/27 \u2014 which peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 in June 2016.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn December 2016, the group announced Cabello\u2019s exit<\/a> through social media. \u201cAfter 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,\u201d the other four members wrote. \u201cWe wish her well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCabello went on to launch a successful solo career, most recently releasing C,XOXO in 2024 \u2014 her first album under Geffen and Interscope after parting ways with Epic Records, which originally signed Fifth Harmony through a partnership with Simon Cowell\u2019s Syco Music. C,XOXO debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

\n\tFifth Harmony officially disbanded in 2018, with the remaining members pursuing solo endeavors. In a November 2023 interview with Billboard, Brooke shared<\/a> that a reunion isn\u2019t off the table.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re women now and we have grown so much and we have done our own thing, gone our own ways and gone our own path. And now we\u2019re together in a different light,\u201d the singer said. \u201cI\u2019m trying to reunite with them, so I think some sort of reunion may happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
