{"id":35525,"date":"2025-09-01T00:24:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T00:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/35525\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T00:24:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T00:24:15","slug":"streets-have-no-name-pub-gets-renamed-kingfishr-sing-from-roof-of-limerick-owned-pub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/35525\/","title":{"rendered":"Streets have no name, pub gets renamed: Kingfishr sing from roof of Limerick-owned pub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>INSTEAD of raising the roof with their as they usually do, Kingfishr took it a step further\u00a0and sung from the roof of a famous Irish bar in London, owned and run by a Limerick family.<\/p>\n<p>The popular band played their hits at the Faltering Fullback Irish pub earlier this week on Tuesday, August 26, with the pub temporarily rebranding as The Kingfishr for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>They took to the roof of the pub to perform songs such as Shot in the Dark, Diamonds &amp; Roses and, of course, the iconic Killeagh, as crowds gathered outside the venue on the street.<\/p>\n<p>Videos of their performance will likely make fans of fellow Irish band U2 recall their famous Where The Streets Have No Name music video, in which they also sung from the roof of a building.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on Instagram, with pictures taken by Casey King, Kingfishr said: \u201cBig massive shout out to Patrick and the rest of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thefalteringfullback\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@thefalteringfullback<\/a> crew for letting us take over and rebrand the pub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFelt like a college house session, total chaos, everyone up for the craic \ud83d\ude42 and sound to the neighbours for not calling the guards!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The band added that they will be playing more record store shows \u201cover the next little while\u201d and thanked everyone that has bought and streamed their new album, Halcyon, saying that the response has been \u201cimmense\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_4097-1756484349618.jpg\" width=\"800\" caption=\"false\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The iconic London venue also posted about the event on Instagram, saying: \u201cWhat an honour to host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kingfishrofficial\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@kingfishrofficial<\/a>. What a truly special night it was!
