Cate Blanchett has served us countless interpretations of glamour on the Venice Film Festival red carpet, and this time she opted for something altogether unexpected. Dressed in a\u00a0Maison Margiela Artisanal 2025 <\/strong>look, she paired a frayed edge black top with a skirt printed in a collage of\u00a0nature morte\u00a0paintings, finished with an appliqu\u00e9 of wings crafted from the same fabric. My first thought was that it looked like Cate had waded waist-deep through an aviary. But the closer you look, the more fascinating the eerie detailing becomes. That\u2019s the genius of it: unsettling, thought-provoking, and impossible to ignore. And this is why I applaud Cate. She refuses to stand still, tossing us these fashion curveballs to remind us she can do\u00a0glamour, drama, and avant-garde\u00a0all in one.
