\n\tBaylee Lynn\u2019s debut single \u201cCautiously Optimistic\u201d tops this week\u2019s new music poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a poll published Friday (Aug. 29) on Billboard<\/a>, music fans voted the 17-year-old singer-songwriter\u2019s first-ever release as their favorite new track of the week.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCautiously Optimistic\u201d earned 64% of the vote, beating out fresh releases from artists like Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> (Man\u2019s Best Friend), Hayley Williams<\/a> (Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party), Zach Top<\/a> (Ain\u2019t In It For My Health), and Blood Orange<\/a> (Essex Honey).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Tennessee native\u2019s debut, produced by AJ Pruis, is a country-pop anthem inspired by artists like Dolly Parton and Faith Hill that captures the emotional journey of navigating love after heartbreak.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen we wrote \u2018Cautiously Optimistic,\u2019 I envisioned this song being one that most teenage girls can relate to,\u201d Lynn said in a statement. \u201cI know what it\u2019s like to be the girl who\u2019s scared of letting her guard down because she fears being hurt again \u2014 but also what it\u2019s like to be the girl who\u2019s so good at ignoring all the red flags. I am beyond thrilled for this song to finally be out in the world!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe track was co-written by Lynn, Pruis, Kyle Sturrock and Brett Tyler.<\/p>\n

\n\tCarpenter\u2019s Man\u2019s Best Friend took second place in the poll, pulling in 26% of the vote. The pop star\u2019s seventh studio album, produced by Jack Antonoff, arrives just over a year after her Grammy-winning Short n\u2019 Sweet, which topped the Billboard 200 for four weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilliams\u2019 Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, a collection of previously released singles with a brand new song titled \u201cParachute,\u201d came in third with nearly 4% of the vote.<\/p>\n
