Cyndi Lauper<\/strong>\u2019s farewell tour went out with a bang \u2014 along with some notable guest appearances along the way.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, August 30, Lauper was joined by both Joni Mitchell <\/strong>and Cher <\/strong>at different points in the evening, among some other surprise guests. The show wrapped up her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour which began back in October 2024, and consisted of over 69 shows across the world.<\/p>\n

Lauper, 72, and Mitchell, 81, stood side by side for a heartfelt rendition of \u201cCarey,\u201d a song originally by Mitchell herself. Video of the duet<\/a> is currently circulating on social media, with fans going wild over the performance. Later, Cher, 79, hopped on stage to trade verses with Lauper during the iconic closer,\u201cGirls Just Want to Have Fun,\u201d another moment which sent social media into a frenzy after the Grammy winner shared it to YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Another person shared on X<\/a>, \u201ccan\u2019t believe i saw cyndi lauper, joni mitchell, sza AND cher all in the same night last night\u2026\u2026\u2026 Maybe life is worth living.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCher said goodbye to the audience at the Hollywood Bowl last night after her performance with Cyndi Lauper, saying \u201csee you all soon\u2026\u201d a Cher fan account on X noted<\/a>, sharing a video.<\/p>\n

In addition to Cher and Mitchell, special guests like SZA<\/strong>, John Legend<\/strong>, Trombone Shorty<\/strong>, and Jake Wesley Rogers<\/strong> made cameo appearances throughout the night, making it a true celebration of musical collaboration and the end of an era for Lauper.<\/p>\n

After the final song, the venue lit up with fireworks and confetti. A visibly moved Lauper tried to present a bouquet of flowers to Cher, but the legendary singer gently pushed them back to her friend and declared with a smile, \u201cyou\u2019re the f**king queen.\u201d<\/p>\n

After nearly five decades on the road, Lauper made clear that she just can\u2019t keep up the pace. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live in June 2024, she explained, \u201cI\u2019m not doing the trains, planes, and automobiles anymore. I\u2019m strong now, but I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m going to be like in four years. I wanted a chance to just do this when I\u2019m feeling strong and, you know, celebrate with people.\u201d<\/p>\n
