{"id":35980,"date":"2025-09-01T06:25:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T06:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/35980\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T06:25:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T06:25:16","slug":"stoxx-600-ftse-dax-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/35980\/","title":{"rendered":"Stoxx 600, FTSE, DAX, data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON \u2014 European stocks are expected to start the new trading week broadly higher on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K.&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.FTSE\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FTSE<\/a> index is seen unchanged, Germany&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.GDAXI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DAX<\/a> up 0.12%, France&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.FCHI\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CAC 40<\/a>\u00a0up 0.1% and Italy&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.FTMIB\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FTSE MIB<\/a> up 0.12%, according to data from IG.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a quiet day on the data front in Europe on Monday, although Turkish growth data and EU unemployment figures will be released.<\/p>\n<p>Regional stock markets closed lower last Friday as traders monitored European and U.S. inflation data and assessed the likelihood of the U.S. Federal Reserve cutting interest rates at its next meeting in September. Fed Chair Jerome Powell stoked expectations for a cut in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/22\/powell-indicates-conditions-may-warrant-interest-rate-cuts-as-fed-proceeds-carefully.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speech <\/a>widely interpreted as dovish-tilting. The metric \u2014 previously known as the Caixin Purchasing Managers&#8217; Index \u2014 came in at 50.5, compared with a contraction of 49.5 the month before.<\/p>\n<p>Data released Sunday showed that the country&#8217;s manufacturing PMI data came in at 49.4 in August, compared with 49.3 the month before.<\/p>\n<p>Investors are also assessing India-China relations after leaders from both countries agreed that they are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/31\/chinas-xi-and-indias-modi-meet-vow-to-resolve-border-differences.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">development partners, not rivals<\/a>,\u00a0during a two-day meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization regional security bloc.
