The Descent\u2018s subterranean claustrophobia meets Lovecraftian cosmic horror in the trailer for The Deep Dark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Written and directed by Mathieu Turi<\/strong> (Meander<\/a>), the French creature feature will be awakened on VOD in the US and UK on March 24<\/strong> via 4Digital Media.<\/p>\n

Set in 1950s France, a team of miners are forced to escort a professor underground in the name of research. But when a landslide prevents them from going back up, they discover a crypt from another time, unknowingly waking a bloodthirsty creature.<\/p>\n

Samuel Le Bihan<\/strong> (Brotherhood of the Wolf), Amir El Kacem<\/strong>, Jean-Hugues Anglade<\/strong> (Taking Lives), Thomas Soliv\u00e9r\u00e8s<\/strong> (The Intouchables), Bruno Sanches<\/strong>, Diego Mart\u00edn<\/strong> (REC 3: Genesis), Marc Riso<\/strong>, and Philippe Torreton<\/strong> (District 13: Ultimatum) star.<\/p>\n

The Deep Dark hit the festival circuit in 2023, playing the likes of Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, and FrightFest Glasgow.<\/p>\n
