Katie McCabe has opened up about her future ahead of her Arsenal exit.<\/p>\n
The Ireland<\/a> captain has spent more than 10 years at the WSL<\/a> side, barring a 2017 loan spell at Glasgow City, but is set to depart this summer when her contract expires.<\/p>\n Arsenal<\/a> have targeted Barcelona and Spain full-back Ona Batlle and McCabe<\/a>, eager to continue playing regular first-team football, will look elsewhere.<\/p>\n McCabe, speaking ahead of Tuesday night\u2019s World Cup qualifier against France, briefly addressed her club situation.<\/p>\n She has enjoyed a trophy-filled career at Arsenal, winning the WSL, the Champions League, the Women\u2019s FA Cup, the FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup and the League Cup.<\/p>\n McCabe said: \u201cObviously my full focus is on these games coming up with Ireland.<\/p>\n \u201cBut in terms of my club future I\u2019ve got a contract until the end of the season.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Arsenal fans know how committed I am to them and to the club. I think I\u2019ve shown that over the last 10 years. I\u2019ve given absolutely everything.<\/p>\n \u201cBut in terms of where I\u2019ll be at, I\u2019m going to see out the next few months and then go from there.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Raheny United and Shelbourne star should have no shortage of offers.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, looking ahead to the game against France, McCabe was asked if the 3-1 P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh win against one of the world\u2019s top teams would be a factor on Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a while ago now,\u201d McCabe replied. \u201cOur team is a little bit different, different management, so there have been a lot of changes from then up until now.<\/p>\n \u201cBut we just need to look at France and what they have been doing in the last few months, and obviously look at how good they were at the Euros as well.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are an exceptional team; the talent, the depth they have.<\/p>\n \u201cI know it\u2019s been highlighted that they have a couple of injuries, but that doesn\u2019t matter, they still have so much quality stepping into those roles. So we can\u2019t look at that and think it\u2019s a one-up for us.<\/p>\n \u201cWe need to be ready, we need to be calm going into the game, and extremely disciplined in being able to execute the game-plan.\u201d<\/p>\n As for her potential on-field battle with Lyon star Kadidiatou Diani, she added: \u201cShe is right up there for sure. She is a fantastic player; strong, direct, quick.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has got it all in terms of what you want a top-class winger to be, so I need to be ready for it, obviously.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve played against her a couple of times before, so we\u2019ve had a couple of battles.
