He doesn\u2019t go into detail on the specifics of what cancer he has, but he does want to let his fans know that his public appearances will be taking a backseat so he can get treatment. \u201cHi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it\u2019s referred to as an \u2018opportunity,\u2019 so let\u2019s go with that &#8211; I\u2019m having one of those. It\u2019s also called a type of cancer that\u2019s \u2018treatable\u2019 not \u2018curable.\u2019 I apologize if that\u2019s a shock &#8211; it was to me too,\u201d he began. \u201cThe good news is, I\u2019m not gonna go into any more detail. I\u2019m posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change &#8211; appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment. My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie &amp; Emma this fall.\u201d He stars in and directs\u00a0Ernie &amp; Emma, a movie about a widow who follows her late wife\u2019s plan to scatter her ashes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.vulture.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmma1lnnc00293b7cxkysv9wo@published\" data-word-count=\"45\">The Evil Dead actor then explains that he will be canceling a few appearances and wanted to let his fans know first.
