See new red panda cubs at Zoo Knoxville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;right:0;bottom:0;width:100%;height:100%;z-index:2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/85873439007-trnd-pets-knox-red-panda-cubs-born-at-zoo-knoxville-thumb.jpg\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidplayicon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/appservices\/universal-web\/universal\/icons\/icon-play-alt-white.svg\" alt=\"play\" style=\"height:40px;margin:auto 18px auto 27px;width:40px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>See the fuzzy faces of Zoo Knoxville&#8217;s newest red panda cubs<\/p>\n<p>Zoo Knoxville welcomed two red panda cubs, they spent the first three months of their lives tucked in their den with their mom, Sisu.<\/p>\n<p>Knoxville is continuing to live up to its reputation as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knoxnews.com\/story\/news\/local\/2024\/12\/03\/why-knoxville-is-the-unofficial-red-panda-capital-of-the-world\/76425569007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">red panda capital of the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Two male red panda cubs were born at Zoo Knoxville in June to resident red pandas Sisu and Doofah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been close to five years since the last time red panda cubs were born here, and more than a decade since guests have had the chance to see cubs raised by their mother on exhibit,\u201d said Sarah Glass, Zoo Knoxville\u2019s curator of wild ambassadors, in the release.<\/p>\n<p>In 1977, Zoo Knoxville received its first pair of red pandas, Bernice and Buster.
