Danny Rohl was pretty vocal before Celtic\u2019s trip to Rangers on Sunday, including taking issue with Luke McCowan\u2019s comments, amongst other things.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Celtic<\/a> midfielder suggested \u2018no team in that league touches us\u2019 if they are on form, but the fact that Rohl<\/a> got involved didn\u2019t sit well with Chris Sutton<\/a> or Kris Boyd<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Whilst Sutton disagreed with what McCowan<\/a> said, because who cares about the \u2018We are the best team cup\u2019, he couldn\u2019t understand why the Rangers manager would go down such a road, and Boyd was on his side. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would worry me if I were a Rangers fan is the stuff Danny Rohl got involved in during the week with Luke McCowan,\u201d said Sutton. <\/p>\n

Of course, that wasn\u2019t the only thing Rohl got involved in; he also seemingly took issue with how Celtic approached their match in Stuttgart<\/a>, as well as with the club\u2019s goalkeeping situation. <\/p>\n

Either way, Boyd thinks such comments have not \u2018come back to bite you\u2019 because Celtic came from 2-0 to rescue a draw at Ibrox. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no need,\u201d added Boyd. \u201cEven the whole, who Celtic are going to play next. You are like it\u2019s got absolutely nothing to do with you. It would always come back to bite you if you didn\u2019t get the result.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s not going to be long before Celtic and Rangers lock horns again<\/a>, this time in the Scottish Cup.<\/p>\n

Celtic fans will have the whole Broomloan Stand<\/a> for this fixture, which will certainly add a bit more spice, and a winner must be decided because it\u2019s a knockout game.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see what Rohl has to say in the lead-up to the next Glasgow derby, because it wouldn\u2019t be a surprise if the media search for some sound bites. <\/p>\n

Either way, Sutton and Boyd were critical of how the German coach approached the last fixture, with the former Celtic striker questioning Rangers\u2019 mentality, as they told The Warm-Up<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sutton:<\/strong> \u201cThe question about Rangers always comes up is about the mentality. I think Danny Rohl, after the game, said, \u2018There isn\u2019t a problem.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I don\u2019t agree with anything McCowan says. I mean, who cares? You come out and say, \u2018We are the best team in Scotland.\u2019 Who cares about the \u2018we are the best team cup\u2019 It\u2019s about the end of the season, and who actually wins the league. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat worries me is, why is Danny Rohl even getting involved in that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Boyd:<\/strong> \u201cI think sometimes as a manager you can try to deflect away from your team. But we know what this way ends up in Glasgow. Everything will get twisted. Everything will get turned. All of a sudden, it becomes a headline. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no need. Even the whole, who Celtic are going to play next. You are like it\u2019s got absolutely nothing to do with you. It would always come back to bite you if you didn\u2019t get the result. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt half-time, he\u2019s probably thinking, \u2018it\u2019s game over. I can do whatever I want here.\u2019 Then all of a sudden, at the end of the match, Danny Rohl is moaning about incidents. It\u2019s a penalty kick.\u201d<\/p>\n
