Watchers eagerly tuned in for seasons one, two, and three, dissecting each installment’s eight episodes to the max, so, of course, anticipation was high for a potential\u00a0Heartstopper\u00a0season four. But alas, it is not happening. Instead of Heartstopper\u00a0season four, we are getting a Heartstopper\u00a0feature film named Heartstopper Forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heartstopper, which is based on the graphic novel and webcomic series of the same name created by Alice Oseman, is one of Netflix’s best-reviewed series<\/a> and has earned critical acclaim for its positive representation of young queer people<\/a>. The show has become a massive hit for the streamer and has developed a large, devoted fanbase<\/a>. Has Netflix renewed Heartstopper for season 4?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Netflix has not renewed Heartstopper for a fourth season. Instead, the streamer has revealed that the series will end with a movie. On April 22, 2025, Netflix announced that Heartstopper will conclude with a feature film, bringing Nick and Charlie’s story to a close.<\/strong> News arrived on the third anniversary of the launch of season one. The final film has since been officially named Heartstopper Forever.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the\u00a0Heartstopper\u00a0story,” writer and creator Alice Oseman said in a statement to coincide with the renewal news. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. Previously,\u00a0Tudum<\/a>\u00a0confirmed in October 2024 that Alice Oseman was already in talks with Netflix and the series production company See-Saw Films about a potential return. \u201cAs much as I\u2014and everyone else\u2014want the final installment to come to the screen as soon as possible,\u201d Oseman revealed, \u201cthere are a lot of moving parts to account for that make it hard to solidify anything.
