Robin Wright<\/a> is the latest Hollywood celebrity to say she\u2019s happily living in the U.K.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAmerica is a (expletive) show,\u201d she told The Sunday Times in an interview<\/a> published Aug. 30. She did not raise political issues in the conversation. \u201cI love being in this country. There\u2019s a freedom of self here. People are so kind. They\u2019re living.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That\u2019s most of America. Everything\u2019s rush, competition and speed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded: \u201cIt\u2019s liberating to be done. Be done with searching, looking and getting 60% of what you wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wright has largely worked in England for the past several years, bouncing between rental homes. In Los Angeles, she says, \u201cEveryone\u2019s building a huge house and I\u2019m just done with all that \u2212 I love the quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n

What does mystify her is the British fixation on class, she told the Times. \u201cIt\u2019s very evident when you\u2019re in a room and you feel the judgment or the praise of someone who\u2019s more elevated,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m trying to figure it out. Why are you guys so obsessed with who went to this boarding school or this university?\u201d<\/p>\n

While living in the England, \u201cI\u2019ve met my person. Finally,\u201d she said, referencing Henry Smith, a British-Australian architect she\u2019s been involved with about a year. \u201cI love being alone and I\u2019ve done that many times. But I\u2019m, like, I want to grow old with somebody, and travel and see the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wright, 59, has been married three times, including to Sean Penn<\/a>, with whom she has daughter Dylan and son Hopper. She said she doesn\u2019t want to wed again. \u201cNo. God no. Why? That\u2019s just unnecessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her new Amazon Prime series \u201cThe Girlfriend<\/a>,\u201d a thriller about a mom (played by Wright) with a bad feeling about her son\u2019s (Laurie Davidson) new love interest (Olivia Cooke), streams Sept. 10.<\/p>\n
