Christian Horner has turned down the chance to appear in a series based on himself, his life and wife Geri Halliwell.<\/p>\n

The Briton is currently spending some time away from F1, having been sensationally axed by Red Bull last year despite the unprecedented success he brought to the team.<\/p>\n

In Netflix’s newest series of popular show Drive to Survive, Horner and Halliwell take centre stage in a 38-minute episode. The couple offer a candid glimpse into their private life, while also discussing his shock Red Bull exit that stunned the world.<\/p>\n

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Horner turned down ‘overtures’ to star in a spin-off show based on himself and Geri alone.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old is perhaps wise to shun more of the spotlight, having proven to be a decisive figure over the past couple of years.<\/p>\n

To his dismay, Horner was booed at the launch of Red Bull’s car last year by spectators inside the 02 Arena.<\/p>\n

It was something that also left Liam Lawson and Max Verstappen shocked, with the pair also in attendance.<\/p>\n

Toto Wolff couldn’t resist twisting the knife, with the Mercedes chief saying: “He went up there, like ‘I\u2019m going to rock the room,’ but the room rocked him.”<\/p>\n

Horner, however, hit back by saying: “When you become a serial winner the audience doesn\u2019t want to see that.<\/p>\n

“In F1, there\u2019s an element of pantomime. We are like the Kardashians on wheels. I am past caring what people think.”<\/p>\n

Horner was sacked by Red Bull after a power struggle behind the scenes, with his departure also coming a year after being accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ by a female member of staff.<\/p>\n

The F1 chief always protested his innocence, however, with Geri also supporting him in public. He was later cleared of any wrongdoing on two separate occasions.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, Horner was devastated by his exit from the side, which came after winning six World Constructors’ Championships, eight World Drivers’ Championships, and 124 Grands Prix.<\/p>\n

“All done and dusted. I feel a real sense of loss and hurt,” he said on Drive to Survive.<\/p>\n

“I didn\u2019t really get a chance to say a proper goodbye. I never imagined to be in this position. Your immediate reaction when you\u2019re delivered a s**t sandwich like that is, ‘F**k them.’<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve had something taken away from me that wasn\u2019t my choice, that was very precious to me.”<\/p>\n

He added: “I think this was a decision that was made by Oliver Mintzlaff with Helmut (Marko, the now deposed motorsport adviser to the wider Red Bull group) advising from the sidelines.<\/p>\n

“Ultimately things changed within the business, within the group. And after Dietrich (Mateschitz, Red Bull\u2019s founder) died, I was probably deemed to have maybe too much control.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the 2026 F1 season commences on Sunday with Red Bull hoping to bounce back following a disappointing campaign last time out.<\/p>\n
