A 39-year-old Cork man was remanded in custody for a fortnight arising out of an investigation into alleged drug dealing at what was described as a \u201cdrugs storehouse\u201d at Madden\u2019s Buildings in Blackpool, Cork, in July 2024.<\/p>\n
It was alleged that at this location he was found with \u20ac3,000 worth of heroin stuffed down his pants.<\/p>\n
Detective Garda Rory Fogarty said that in a follow-up search at a house the garda\u00ed seized \u20ac2,500 in cash which was believed to be the proceeds of drug-dealing.<\/p>\n
These were among the allegations made by the detective in an earlier objection to bail in the case against Alan Duggan, formerly of 65 Ballinderry Park, Mayfield, Cork, at Cork District Court.<\/p>\n
Judge Mary Dorgan remanded Alan Duggan in custody until September 15 to allow time for DPP directions in this and a number of other drug-related cases.<\/p>\n
He was represented in court by Diane Hallahan solicitor.<\/p>\n
Det Garda Fogarty alleged that 20g of Diamorphine (heroin) valued \u20ac3,000 were found in his pants and \u20ac2,500 cash was found in the follow-up search of a property on July 24 2024 at Madden\u2019s Buildings.<\/p>\n
He is also charged that on May 6 this year he was in possession of Diamorphine (heroin) and had the drugs for sale or supply. It is alleged that he was caught with \u20ac2,660 worth of the drugs at Bridewell garda station.<\/p>\n
He faces charges in relation to June 8 this year of having heroin and having it for sale or supply at Sunday School Lane, Blackpool. The amount of drugs on that occasion was allegedly \u20ac2,000.<\/p>\n
