It’s been said that if you want a job done then you should ask a busy woman \u2014 or busy women. And that\u2019s definitely how things worked out at this four-bed Midleton house with so many original and whimsical touches.<\/p>\n

No 14 Cypress Circus at Midleton\u2019s Broomfield development is a \u201cbeautifully-presented and exceptionally well-finished semi-detached family home\u201d says John Hornibrook of Colbert & Co.<\/p>\n

It was bought eight years ago by a Polish couple and their children with the intention of selling it and moving \u2018home\u2019 after a few years. Well, Midleton is now most definitely their home after their children insisted on staying in Ireland \u2014 mum and dad are downsizing to a new build near the town since daughter moved out.<\/p>\n

This daughter, Natalia Czech, has completed an honours degree in interior architecture at Cork\u2019s MTU.<\/p>\n

She put a fair bit of effort into planning how this house\u2019s interior was going to shape up. But it\u2019s also fair to say she didn\u2019t work alone. Her mum, Anna Gorczynska, is passionate about decorating and merged inspiration with perspiration here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted the house to remind me of the forest and forester\u2019s lodge where I grew up in Poland. I used an actual photograph and had it made into custom wallpaper for the hall,\u201d says Anna, who works as a nail technician.<\/p>\n

The real brick cladding on the fireplace is also one of their ideas, along with the decor for the wood-panelled second living room with its decorative crossbeams at the rear of the house.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sunroom is a stunning addition to the home, creating warmth and character while overlooking the rear garden,\u201d notes Mr Hornibrook.<\/p>\n

Strategically-used strong, deep colours actually accentuate the brightness inside this BER B3 home.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of my friends here were sceptical when I said I was going to have a deep forest-green kitchen and worried it would be too dark but I love it. Everything we decorated in the house was the way we loved it and wanted it to be \u2014 lots of green and natural materials.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, Anna, who sourced a talented blacksmith for work on the oven hood, and who also used Cork-based Design by Magic for her kitchen, now helps friends and colleagues plan their homes\u2019 interiors too.<\/p>\n

All four bedrooms are doubles, and the main bedroom is ensuite. The top-floor bedroom at the front of the house has a built-in workstation \u2014 ideal for working from home and keeping a distance from any distractions downstairs.<\/p>\n

There are primary and secondary schools within around a kilometre, and a map app puts Midleton train station at a four-minute cycle away.<\/p>\n

Mr Hornibrook recently completed the sale of another three-storey Broomfield house \u2014 the Property Price Register shows this went for \u20ac505k.<\/p>\n
