Personal terms on a five-year contract to 2030 were also in place.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Head coach Oliver Glasner has been vocally opposed to Guehi\u2019s sale this summer and has been resolute that his captain could not be allowed to leave unless an appropriate replacement was found.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Romano later added on X: \u201cBREAKING: Marc Guehi-Liverpool deal has COLLAPSED.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite medical done and deal sheet submitted, Crystal Palace don\u2019t approve the move following Igor deal off. Guehi stays at #CPFC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has since commented on the \u201cextraordinary bunfight\u201d involving several Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarc Guehi\u2019s move to Liverpool from Crystal Palace is off \u2013 despite a deal sheet being submitted for the Eagles skipper,\u201d Dorsett explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Reds had until 9pm to get Guehi\u2019s deal over the line. We\u2019ll get more details on why it\u2019s fallen through as we have them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrighton defender Igor Julio, who was meant to be Guehi\u2019s replacement at Selhurst Park, had a medical at the club earlier today before changing his mind and join West Ham instead \u2013 although that deal isn\u2019t done yet either.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat may have scuppered the move.
