I properly can&#8217;t cope here.\u201d Many praised the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/bbc\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">BBC<\/a> drama for the emotional send off, with one posting: &#8220;Sister Monica Joan\u2019s death was beautiful. The show won\u2019t be the same without her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Another fan agreed: \u201cWhat a wonderful way for sister Monica Joan to go with all other sisters of past&#8221; while one other insisted: &#8220;I\u2019m in denial and I\u2019m okay with that. She\u2019s not dead she\u2019s just eating a cake somewhere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">However, Sister Evangelina, Sister Monica Joan and Sister Julienne are set to return to screens &#8211; albeit with a new cast, which has not yet been announced. A three-part prequel of Call the Midwife, featuring younger versions of is expected to launch on <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Christmas<\/a> Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The prequel will be set in Second World War London with series creator Heidi Thomas telling the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/call-the-midwife-prequel-cast-covers-party-exclusive-newsupdate\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Radio Times<\/a> : &#8220;[She] actually isn&#8217;t that young when we did the maths, but she&#8217;s very much in her prime.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She added: &#8220;It&#8217;s a <a aria-label=\"worldLink opens in a new tab.\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/world-news\/\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\">world<\/a> where women are not in charge when war breaks out, but very rapidly, they are in charge of everything because the men are called away, either to Home Front-based war work or they go overseas. So you&#8217;ll see a lot of women coming into their own&#8230; it&#8217;s a programme that is going to be about strong women above all else.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">There will also be a movie version set in 1972 and featuring the regular cast and almost certainly set in <a aria-label=\"AustraliaLink opens in a new tab.\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/Australia\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\">Australia<\/a>.
