Relay for Life Donegal is inviting families with loved ones abroad, Irish communities overseas, workplaces, schools, sports clubs and community organisations to host their own Boil The Kettle gathering during April. Through social media, a kettle boiled in Letterkenny could connect with a kitchen in London, a café in Sydney or an Irish family home in Boston.

Taking part is straightforward. Simply choose a day in April to host a tea morning or evening, register your event with Relay for Life Donegal, invite friends or colleagues, put the kettle on and donate whatever is raised.

Participants are encouraged to share photos of their gatherings online using the hashtag #BoilTheKettle to help spread the campaign even further.

The Boil The Kettle Appeal forms part of the lead up to Relay for Life Donegal 2026, which will take place on 23rd and 24th May at the ATU Donegal Letterkenny campus.

But in April, it all begins with the kettle brewing in the hills of Donegal… and spreading across the world.

Register at https://www.relayforlife.ie/event/donegal/home

Follow the Facebook page: Boil The Kettle Appeal

Instagram – www.instagram.com/boilthekettleappeal

Daniel and Majella are putting the kettle on for a great cause was last modified: March 9th, 2026 by Rachel McLaughlin

      Tags:

Something is brewing in the hills of Donegal.
